PRIVACY · AGGREGATED INSIGHTS · AD CHOICES

Useful popularity signals,
without a personal dossier.

VLSI Calendar measures which semiconductor events are useful so the calendar can improve. Product analytics does not store raw IP addresses. When automated advertising is active, advertising data is handled separately under the choices and disclosures below.
01 · PRODUCT ANALYTICS

What is recorded

Anonymous visitor and session identifiers, the action taken, event identifier, page path, interface language, broad device class, browser family, browser-reported time zone, server-recorded visit time, country code supplied by the hosting edge, a sanitized referrer hostname or referrer class, and strictly formatted campaign, partner or signup-placement codes when present.

  • No raw IP address, full user-agent string or device model in the analytics table
  • No precise GPS, street-level visitor location or full screen dimensions
  • No raw landing URL, free-form query content or email-like campaign value
  • No cross-site advertising profile
02 · POPULARITY

How “Popular” is calculated

Event popularity is based on aggregated event-detail opens and official-link actions. Labels appear only after a minimum activity threshold and never identify individual visitors.

03 · YOUR CONTROLS

Browser privacy signals

The analytics bridge and campaign attribution do not run when Global Privacy Control is enabled or when the browser sends Do Not Track. Blocking storage keeps the calendar usable with temporary session identifiers. Device-local visit, dismissal and pending-confirmation hints only control revisit prompts; pending email hints expire after seven days.

04 · COMMUNITY

Public text posts and comments

Board posts and event comments are public. A display name may be shown with the text. Anti-spam limits use a one-way request identity; raw IP addresses are not published. Do not post confidential, sensitive or personal contact information.

05 · EMAIL

VLSI Korea subscription preferences

Email, cadence and language are sent to VLSI Korea's Ghost membership service to request a confirmation link. When browser privacy signals permit it, validated campaign, partner, landing-path and signup-placement codes may accompany the request so VLSI Korea can measure which distribution partnerships and page locations work. A local record may retain that unverified request for audience operations, but only confirmation in Ghost activates a newsletter membership. Email data is never used to inflate public popularity counts.

06 · SPONSOR INQUIRIES

Commercial contact details

When a sponsor reservation request is submitted, VLSI Calendar stores the organization, contact name, work email, optional company website, selected package, campaign goal, requested start date and message so the team can scope and respond to the request. Those details may be sent through the configured transactional email provider solely to notify authorized commercial operations; VLSI Calendar does not automatically email an unverified submitted address or add it to a marketing list. The record may also retain response, proposal, delivery and renewal timestamps needed to operate and audit the campaign. Payment and refund entries are kept in a separate auditable cash ledger. Validated campaign and partner codes may be stored for sales attribution. A one-way request identity and broad country code are used for anti-spam limits; raw IP addresses are not stored in the inquiry record. Submitting a request does not create a payment or publishing commitment.

07 · AUTOMATED ADVERTISING

Google AdSense and your choices

VLSI Calendar may use Google AdSense to place and measure clearly identifiable advertising automatically. When active, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage and device or interaction data to deliver, limit and measure ads according to your region and consent choices. Advertising does not change event verification, editorial coverage, search ranking or popularity labels. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, automated ads are enabled only after a Google-certified consent flow is configured. You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage advertising choices through Google's published controls.

Affiliate links

Some event pages may show a clearly labeled affiliate link for a relevant service such as accommodation near an in-person venue. VLSI Calendar may receive a commission when a visitor completes a qualifying purchase after using that link, at no additional charge from VLSI Calendar. Affiliate availability never changes event selection, factual verification, organic search ranking or popularity labels. Affiliate click measurement uses the same privacy-preserving first-party event record described above; the merchant applies its own privacy and attribution terms after the visitor leaves this site.

08 · CONTACT

Questions or removal requests

Use the contact channel on VLSI Korea for privacy questions, a request to remove a community contribution, or deletion of a sponsor inquiry. Sponsor inquiries without financial records may be deleted. When payment or refund records must be retained for financial accountability, commercial contact fields are de-identified while the non-personal cash ledger and its parent audit key are preserved. Include the public page URL and any relevant reference identifier.

09 · FEEDBACK DELIVERY

Private feedback

The optional lower-left feedback panel delivers the text you enter to VLSI Korea through FormSubmit. An email address is optional and sent only when you provide it. FormSubmit is an independent delivery provider and may process technical information such as an IP address under its own terms; the Calendar does not copy that raw IP address into its analytics database.
